Bonanza Canyon Kate was my all time favorite mare. She was sweet and gentle, athletic and willing. All of which she passed on to Coy. Kate's pedigree includes ADA Captain Coy, Coy's Bonanza, Custus Rastus, Jaguar, Spooks Trophy Boy, and Scootin Spook to name a few.

RISKEYS MOMA TESS
JoLynn Matula, the owner of RR Riskymastrpiece, shared this interesting story behind this wonderful mare. First, although the names are similar, she is not related to Ris Key Business. "Tess" was sold in the early 1980's through a sale and her papers were lost. However, she had produced a horse called Peaches Moon Bar. This one had turned into quite a roping horse. The owner of Ris Key Business had kept up with this horse and ended up buying Tess when she was 14. He had her registered with APHA and bred her to Ris Key Business.
Tess had 4 APHA registered foals before she died. Two were shown with APHA. One of them is "Another Risk" who earned his ROM in Reining, Honor Roll Gelding, and was 2 time Reserve World Champion in Reining. He also placed 8th in the 1998 APHA World.
